Welcome to Lazyhill Gallery online

The gallery is in the centre of the beautiful village of Abbotsbury situated on Dorset’s breathtaking Jurassic coast. Visitors to our gallery will already be familiar with our wide range of UK designer-made craft and art and we offer a selected range here in our online shop.

Currently we are highlighting the following artists’ work:

Sally Pawson

The prettiest jewellery – delicate and light-as-a-feather aluminium, in ice-cream colours, with white spots and stripes. Bangles, rings, earrings and necklaces, simply irresistible and different. The sort of jewellery people always comment on when you wear it – a perfect present.

Fiona Kelly

Fiona makes pots of all kinds – large platters and bowls, mugs and jugs, pots and dishes, nearly all decorated with her favourite fish motif. Her soapdishes, complete with pretty handmade soap, are a runaway success and are constantly reordered. Fiona also makes gorgeous buttons and brooches and is careful to make her work affordable while still being fabulous. Fiona lives and works in Bournemouth.

Jane Cox

Jane Cox – We are so delighted to be stocking the work of this superb ceramicist. Her work has such quality that even those who know nothing about ceramics can tell how good it is. The colours of deep rich turquoise or velvety purples and greens cause more comment than anything else in the gallery. Cups, bowls, dishes and vases to collect, treasure and use.

Jackie Cardy

We first came across Jackie’s work on a website and it was love at first sight. Her brooches and corsages are stunning, jewel-like creations in hand-dyed, hand-felted wool and velvets while others are created in rustic tweeds. Each is machine embroidered to produce the most exquisite piece which is then backed with Liberty fabric.

Lorraine Chalmers

Lorraine Chalmers is our very talented glass maker. Since the day she first brought in her pieces they have been snapped up. Simple, elegant wall panels, often with seaside themes are so popular we can hardly keep up with demand. Coasters in delicious colours, some with dichroic beach huts, are great value and such lovely items for the home.

Clare Mahoney

Sometimes you just want to buy something that has no practical use but is just beautiful and soothes the eye. These porcelain pebbles and hearts are just that – balm for the eyes. White porcelain pebbles and hearts, impressed with seedheads and flowers and decorated with screen prints. Perfect gifts for weddings, anniversaries or just for the one you love.
